it's been more than a month since i blogged.. many things happened in the process!!
the most important happening: i got back my A level results! haha.. was not as nervous as i thought.. not as nervous as compared to the day when i got back my chinese and PW results.. haha.. i don't know why also!! probably because i didn't dare to hope for much and it's a long time gap since the end of the last paper and the results day..
was super surprised with my GP results!! given that i really don't like GP, and i was always at the borderlines in assignments and tests.. super happy for my GP results!
surprised with my chemistry too.. because the paper was tough.. especially paper 2.. although many said it's paper 3.. yet i find paper 3 managable..
biology also!! hahaha.. because i think i screwed up my SPA.. so no much hope for it.. and paper 3 essay.. think that i didn't have enough points to answer the essay questions..
it's a must to get an A for maths! abit disappointed with GSC though.. but i trust that it's the moderation that resulted in the grade..
well, it's over already!! hahaha.. but i really have to thank all my teachers for their teaching and guidance! especially miss lee!! :D
i applied for NUS and NTU.. CHEMISTRY! MY PASSION, MY LOVE.
my mum was having second thoughts about it.. she said that chemistry people can't earn alot of money.. plus the exposure to chemicals, stucked in the lab whole day wearing safety gear and doing experiments.. she wanted me to be a doctor instead..
doctor.. it's difficult or should i say, almost impossible for me to get into medicine! people there have straight As, mostly are 4H2s, some even take up H3 subjects and go for many attachments and internships.. no mean feat seriously.. somemore the school fees for medicine are like 4 times the fees of standard courses like chemistry! no way man.. and after getting the degree, must undergo internship, work shifts.. very tiring.. nono.. haha
i don't care.. i will still stick to chemistry.. although it was biology for the veron in secondary school.. hahaha..
and yes! NUS and NTU accepted me into their schools already! now i have to make the decision on which uni to choose.. applied for their scholarships! so far only NTU notified me for interview.. guess i will go to the uni which will offer me the scholarship *materialistic.. oh man* but i really want to ease the financial burden for my parents.. and also have more exposure through the scholars' programme as well.. like CN Yang Scholars' Program for NTU and Special Program for Science in NUS.. really super cool!
applied for PSC scholarship too.. didn't get selected for their psychometric test (as expected).. but they referred me to MOE for the MOE scholarships! :D
work has been okay.. but it has really drained me even though i did nothing much.. i need more rest.. physically and mentally.. now i know what my teachers went through.. i think it goes the same for everyone who are working too..
haha.. i feel like learning more stuff that hopefully won't involve much money.. actually i feel like studying! haha.. don't know study what but i just know that i want to study (misses the life of being a student).. and i want to focus on my driving too.. that's why i want to take a break! but i don't know whether my parents will give the nod or not.. but since the mid-year exams are coming and june holidays are shortly after the exams, i think i do not have to go to work as frequently anymore.. well, just see first!!
there are many things that i want to do since i'm not schooling now.. like learning some skills such as self-defence in taekwondo, aikido or judo (coindentally, all got 'do' in it) haha.. i also want to learn musical instruments like piano and guitar.. picking up a foreign language as well, such as japanese and french.. but currently really money-strapped.. i can't use the money i earn.. i only got a meagre sum of pocket money.. guess i have to pick up most of them through the internet already.. but i can't learn self-defence skills and piano or guitar through the internet! as the former needs a certified coach and for the latter, i need to have the instrument :(
this is seriously empty-talk.. but i just want to say out what i think and what i want to do.. haha.. and show luo's concert too!! i think no hope for that already.. at least must watch the $118 one.. $88 one might as well don't go.. well, i shall try not to think about it.. just treat it as he is not having a concert in singapore..
have been exercising quite frequently! 2-3 times a week! except the week that i was sick.. haha.. trying to lose abit of weight because the fats has built up over the years due to studies and not exercising much.. lost almost 4kg already.. yay! but i must keep reminding myself not to skip meals or eat too little.. if not no nutrition and it's not good for health too! must drink more water to prevent water retention and more fruits and veggies to replace the fatty food and to gain more vitamins at the same time too.. haha.. i sound like a nutritionist or dietician now!
driving has been fun! started to drive on the roads already! abit scary at first.. but i'm slowly getting used to it now! recently kept practicing left turns, changing up and down gears.. my control of the brake not good enough.. because i love the accelerator too much.. must get rid of this habit!
been going out with hubby during sundays! he has become more and more tanned due to his work, even before army! but most guys look better tanned.. haha..
photos taken last week! <3 him! :D
and this is what i cooked for dinner today! :D
stir-fried xiao bai cai, sambal lady's finger and soy sauce fried chicken.. of course with guidance by my mum!
haha.. okays!
shall stop here!
take cares everyone!
byebye! ^^
