hello everyone!!
i'm finally back to my blog.. has been quite busy (as usual.. haha) with work and stuff.. especially now i'm officially teaching!! finally don't have to do any baby-sitting anymore.. currently teaching 1E1 and 1E2 for maths!! taught 5N3 maths for a short 4 days too last week..
ironically, 1E2, 1E3 and 1E4 are more well-behaved than 1E1! seriously don't understand why.. usually 1E1 will be the most well-behaved class.. haha.. racked my brain to think of some methods to keep them engaged.. for example, today.. haha.. me: ok, class, what is the answer to this question? a student shouted: barbie doll! barbie doll! and i actually wrote $ barbie doll on the board.. haha.. the whole class bursted out laughing! (including myself).. haha.. then they said: cher! nonono.. it's $4969 barbie doll cents! and i wrote it down again.. changing the doll to door.. hahahaha.. because both words sound similar.. so i said: it's barbie DOOR is it? haha.. and the students burst out laughing again and gave me the final answer..
haha.. and if they were chatting among themselves, i would overhear them, and reply them according to the topic that they were talking about.. and they will like: cher! you can hear what we are talking about ar? i said: ya.. of course! i got sharp ears okay!! pay attention!!
1E2 is more well disciplined.. teaching them was a breeze.. just that tend to have some students who like to fool around.. just have to engage them again!!
started my part-time relief work by teaching them approximation and estimation.. just finished the chapter and moving off to algebra already!! must drill into them the concept of algebra.. because it's super important for maths!!
and it's quite shocking that majority of 1E1 failed their maths test.. feel super sad for them.. they are weak in their laws of operation (like do multiplication and division first before addition and subtraction), real numbers (especially negative numbers).. and most of them forgot to indicate how they rounded off the number even though most their answers were correct and i reminded them for countless times!! as for 1E2, i only marked half way through!!
this is the stack of work that i have to mark over the weekends.. good luck to me! :(

haha.. and today's fruit day! kop-ed the fruits from general office! got strawberries somemore!! and they were sweet! haven't tasted sweet and fresh strawberries in a long time.. plus banana and longan for burst of glucose to keep me energized during work! :D

and we had fire drill yesterday.. it took about half an hour!! luckily can hide in the shelter.. if not will become roasted human!! hid in the shelter with shiva because we were not taking any classes that time.. we were talking about skincare stuff like acne problems and dry skin.. haha.. shall buy a pumice stone for my soles! my soles are seriously hard and dry due to the flats i wore last time and they still hurt sometimes when i'm walking :(
colin came over during friendship day because BB set up a friendship day booth!! last time i saw him was during ms wang's wedding!! haha.. chatted awhile with him and i got this cool black poodle!

haha.. my colleagues were nice too! valerie, alex, jeff, shiva, jenem and delphine. coincidentally, jeff approached me and my bro last time in jp to promote his tuition, shiva and jenem were from JJ as well, and delphine was my primary school schoolmate!!
haha.. during free time, we watched videos on laptop.. was watching mv most of the time.. i'm seriously not in touch with english pop.. my colleagues were mentioning some names.. i was like, 'huh? who are they?'
there's this talented group of people, consisting of singers and composers who did cover of many english songs.. the main singer was sam tsui.. his voice is quite nice!! and music genius, kurt. a good recommendation: hold it against me, in which britney spears is the original singer.. britney got owned man!!
haha.. now i at least get to know abit more about english pop because most of my colleagues listen to english songs!!

on valentine's day! finally met hubby on that very day itself for the very first time. didn't meet on previous years due to many reasons like it was cny day 2 last year.. haha
it was a simple and sweet celebration.. haha.. went to manhattan fish market in marina square for dinner!! it was a great meal with hubby!




i gave hubby memories as valentine's day present! a thumbdrive filled with our memories! glad he loves it!! :D
went to hubby's friend, jason's 21st birthday chalet with hubby! it was fun!! but it ended super fast.. haha.. time sure flies when we were having fun! stayed in the chalet most of the time.. haha.. eating, sleeping, chatting, watching tv.. haha.. watched a gundam 00 movie! the visual effects were great man! but the ending is seriously super stupid.. it ended with a big flower blooming in space and it concluded that we should understand each other.. lols! they should have already realized this earlier! then don't need to go to war already!!
watched rain's drama with hubby too.. it was quite nice! given that i don't really watch korean dramas.. haha
and it was the first time walking along the streets so late at night with hubby.. haha.. because we were heading to hubby's friend's house to get some stuff.. it was a long walk man! 30 minutes! got bitten by mosquitoes along the way ==
haha.. but i felt super safe because hubby was just beside me! :D
tried out vodka for the very first time.. only had a drip of the pure one.. seriously didn't dare to drink more.. the effect is immediate! which is the heating effect on the throat.. tried out pear flavoured vodka + green tea which was mixed in about 1:15 ratio.. haha.. so it's safe to drink a few sips! it was sweet!! quite nice actually.. haha
many people came for the birthday celebration! hubby's npcc mates came too! saw some of them before also.. so we just chatted over dinner!! nice gathering and fun chalet! :D
met hubby on monday too!! we went to our old and usual hunt, vivo.. went to the hawker centre to eat lor mee and drink sugar cane juice as usual and walked around vivo.. hubby bought a wallet! it took some time to come to a final decision.. haha.. were choosing between colours and patterns.. in the end it was still black because it suits hubby more!!
went to watch the crane dance at 9pm outside vivo! it was nice!! but the spotlights from the cranes all the way from rws were blinding us! water sprayed out of the robot cranes, making it look like wings!! it was a great sight! :)

chinese new year! it was so long ago.. but.. i'm still going to talk about it!
went to bai nian on the second day of cny! only went to my grandparents' house.. haha
celebrated my small brother's birthday on eve of cny.. it was a busy day man! must prepare both reunion dinner and birthday dinner!! photos up on facebook!
went to sentosa flowers and river angbao with my family too.. nothing much actually! sort of disappointing.. but the sentosa broadwalk is cool! can walk from vivo to sentosa! just have to pay $1!
went to hubby's friends' house to bai nian too! quite a new experience.. because i never went to my friends' house to bai nian before! haha.. played some cards, mahjong, watching them playing wii and playstation.. the wii super mario game is super cute!! haha.. and it was exciting too!! more challenging than the retro super mario game.. haha
and had lou hei in jwss also!! it was super delicious! with real salmon inside!! there was also buffet too!! had my lou hei at home during cny day 7 too!!
went for moe scholarship talk on last day of cny.. so i was chionging through reunion dinner after i got home from driving centre!! haha.. it isn't easy to take up the scholarship.. i think must have straight As then can.. but hopefully i will do well for my A levels!! results is around 80% confirmed that it will be released on the 4th of march, which is just one week away!! with people passing rumours about the date, and my friend who just booked out from his army camp told me that moe informed mindef about the date.. omg.. scary!!
kept having dreams that i got back my A level results.. got 2 dreams actually.. haha.. i have different results in both dreams.. strange!! haha.. it's strange because they are dreams!! xP

celebrated my bro's birthday last sunday and photos are up on facebook too!!
had intensive driving lessons this week!! both theory and practical.. especially yesterday! had lessons from about 2-7pm.. hahaha.. took my final theory evaluation test today.. got 49/50! don't know got which stupid question wrong again.. but i completed it within 5 minutes! woohoo!! and actually i didn't read the questions.. i just read and choose the answers.. quite straightforward actually
practical lessons were fun but scary! must be calm and alert and careful.. it was raining heavily yesterday and my car striked the kerb while turning.. can't see properly!! throughout the practical lessons, my engine stalled for a few times too because i released the clutch pedal too early.. blame myself for choosing manual.. hahaha.. but i don't regret choosing manual.. as i want it to be more challenging! x)

and i finally got show luo's new album! :DD
limited edition too! with his photo album + touch my heat light!! bought the purple touch my heart version as jp popular didn't have the red rose perfume version and the light is more practical.. photos up on facebook too!!
these are some songs that i like:
1) 独一无二: super catchy and nice!!
2) 怕安静: super sad song.. depicts the feelings of a guy when his girlfriend left him.. felt like crying when i was listening the song while looking at the lyrics
3) Touch My Heart: lifts up the mood and the song lyrics always remind me of hubby! ^^
4) 舞所遁形: love the rhythm of the song!
5) 拼什么: meaningful lyrics, it can be better because i can't tell what he's singing in the verses
and you will realize that 2 of the song titles are the same as 2 of sammi zheng's songs.. haha
prefer his previous album though!! the songs were alot nicer!! and choosing 拼什么 as number 1 hit song was a wrong move to me.. if really want to have a slow and emo song as number 1 hit song, 怕安静 is a much better choice (this is what i think.. no offence!!)
haha.. i think i shall stop here!! must get some sleep now!
